A Great Documentary on Dyslexia

If you know someone with dyslexia, or if you have dyslexia, I urge you to take a look at “Journey into Dyslexia” a documentary by Academy-Award winning filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond.

“Journey Into Dyslexia” debuted yesterday on HBO2. If you missed it don’t fret -it airs again this Saturday May 14 at 4:45am PT on HBO2 East, and again at 7:45am PT HBO2 West. For those that enjoy their early Saturday morning sleeping in, you are in luck as HBO On Demand has this program available 5/12/2011 – 6/5/2011.You can also purchase your own copy by visiting videovérité http://videoverite.tv/pages/film-JID-about.html

Many professional adults highlighted in this documentary describe dyslexia as “a gift” and “a wonderful form of intelligence”. People featured in the documentary range from consumer advocate Erin Brockovich to Intel® Reader inventor Ben Foss.

“Journey Into Dyslexia” reveals that the majority of US students with dyslexia simply are not getting the help they need.

If you or someone you know has dyslexia, the Intel Reader may be something to look at. The Intel Reader reads printed text aloud – it’s as easy as point, click and listen. Learn more at CTL’s Intel Reader page.
