Bring New Unwrapped Toys to CTL through December 18 and Share the Joy this Holiday Season
CTL is proud to be a Toys for Tots drop-off location this holiday season. December 1 – 18, 2015 we’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys from employees and the public in order to donate them to families in need. Toys for Tots is a program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charity. Local campaigns are conducted annually in nearly 500 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico. Each year, gifts are collected for an average of 7 million children through this toy drive.
The toys collected will be picked up by a local Toys for Tots coordinator and be stored in a central warehouse. The toys are then sorted by age and gender. At Christmas, coordinators with the assistance of local social welfare agencies, church groups and other local community agencies, distribute the toys to the less fortunate children of the community. Toys for all ages are requested, however toys for children ages 0-2 and 12-15 are most needed, according to toysfortots.org. Realistic looking weapons and gifts with food will NOT be accepted and for safety purposes, toys must be NEW and UNWRAPPED. All toy donations are tax deductible. For donations less than $250, a canceled check or store/business receipt is acceptable to submit to the IRS. For donations of $250 or more, a receipt will be mailed from Toys for Tots upon request.
Toys can be dropped off at CTL’s headquarters located at 9700 SW Harvest Court, building 100, Beaverton, OR during our regular business hours from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Friday, December 18, 2015 is the final day to drop off toys at CTL. Please enter through the main lobby and let our front desk staff know you are bringing a toy donation for Toys for Tots.
