Today we’re at an assistive technology conference at the Northwest Regional ESD in Hillsboro, OR. A.T. Now! is a conference whose goal is to introduce the latest assistive technology (technology designed to aid those with psychical or learning disabilities) to educators, assistive technology service providers, therapists and parents.
We’re proud to be able to show conference attendees the Intel® Reader. The Intel® Reader is a mobile handheld device designed to increase independence for people who have low vision, blindness, learning difficulties such as dyslexia, or anyone who struggles with reading standard print. Its unique design combines a high-resolution camera with the power of an Intel® Atom™ processor to convert printed text to digital text, and then reads it aloud to the user.
We are also excited to be holding a webinar on the Intel® Reader next Tuesday, February 22nd. The webinar will showcase the features and benefits of the Intel® Reader. Anyone who’s interested in attending can register here.
