CTL Corp. next week will launch a new Microsoft Windows-based touch-screen tablet, making the Portland-based company among the early entrants in a high-demand segment of the personal computer market.
Based on early sales figures, Chief Operating Officer Erik Stromquist believes the product will help grow the company’s business making portable personal computers.
CTL on Monday will ship the first 1,000 units of its $499 tablet PC, called the 2go Pad SL10, of which 40 percent were pre-sold, Stromquist said.
Most of Portland-based CTL’s revenue has come from desktop computers and monitors sold to governments, schools, and specific industries such as health care.
