Today at CES, Portland, Oregon’s CTL™ Corporation announced that they will be preloading the Intel AppUp™ center on all their netbooks. They will also have a link to download AppUp on their website at http://www.ctl.net/go/appup.
The Intel AppUp™ center is an app store dedicated to bringing software designed specifically for the small screens and low power processors of netbooks directly to users. The Intel AppUp™ center is designed to be a simple one stop shop for netbook apps. It allows consumers to quickly find, download and install the applications they’re looking for.

Currently the Intel AppUp™ center has nearly 2,000 apps available, and plans to make many more available in the near future. Apps are now available for immediate free download or purchase. Many apps are free and all apps feature a try before you buy trial period, These apps cover over 21 different categories including education, entertainment, games, health and social networking. Over time, Intel and its partners expect to expand the stores to include applications for the large categories of handheld CE devices, smartphones, consumer electronic appliances, TVs and other devices based on future Intel processor families.
