3D Printing Curricula and 3D Printers help Students Lay the Foundation for 21st Century Careers
CTL has teamed up with 3D Systems to offer 3D printers and 3D printing curricula to educators. Recently, 3D Systems partnered with STEAMtrax to offer classroom 3D printers with integrated 3D printing curricula. As technology progresses, the skills students need for the work world are changing. 3D printing is at the forefront of cutting edge technology and is the foundation for many future careers in fields such as engineering, aeronautics, medicine, product design and architecture.
Earlier this year, CTL became a reseller for 3D Systems Corporation, the inventor of the original 3D printing technology. The new collaboration between 3D Systems and STEAMtrax will make it possible for CTL to offer comprehensive packages to educators that include both the 3D printers and 3D printing curricula. STEAMtrax is an innovative new 3D printing curricula for K-9 that integrates engineering and 3D printing technology with core academic knowledge in science, math, language arts, social studies and art. 3D design, printing and scanning are built into each module using the Cube® 3 printer and the Sense ™ scanner. The STEAMtrax 3D printing curricula includes:
