Warm Your Heart with the One Warm Coat Drive at CTL

Warm Your Heart with the One Warm Coat Drive at CTL

CTL is hosting a coat drive to collect clean, gently-worn warm coats at 9700 SW Harvest Court 100 in Beaverton, OR 97005. Coats can be dropped off during the office hours of 8am-5pm through the end of  March 2018. Area residents are invited to make a difference in our local community by donating to the coat drive and supporting CTL in helping One Warm Coat reach their goal of collecting a million coats for children all over the United States this year.

One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that works to provide a free, warm coat to any person in need and raises awareness of the vital need for warm coats. Each year, hundreds of thousands of gently-worn coats are distributed across North America to children, women, and men in need through the One Warm Coat Drive program. The organization supports individuals, groups, companies, and organizations across the country by providing the tools and resources needed to hold a successful coat drive. Coats are distributed in the communities where they were collected, to any person in need, without charge, discrimination or obligation. Over the past 25 years, One Warm Coat has worked with its volunteers to give away nearly 5 million coats.

Currently, there are nearly 50 million Americans living in poverty and struggling to provide a warm coat for themselves or their families. Since the One Warm Coat program seeks to keep all of the coats that CTL collects in the community, we hope to make a big difference for our neighbors who aren’t able to afford outerwear in a part of the country that requires it.

“We are so grateful for our partners like CTL. It is because of our incredible volunteers that we have been around for 25 years, helping get coats to our neighbors who need them. Thanks to CTL’s efforts, many people in this community will have a much warmer winter,” commented Jennifer Stockard, President and Chief Executive Officer of One Warm Coat.

Additionally, checks or cash can be dropped off at CTL in their One Warm Coat donation box located at the front office. Every $5 donated helps One Warm Coat to warm 10 people. All donations are tax-deductible and receipts will be available.

If you’d like to help and aren’t able to make it into CTL, you are welcome to still get involved by:

The donated coats and money collected at CTL will be given to local school districts for distribution to local children and adults in need. CTL hopes to make this coat drive as wonderfully successful as our drive last year.
