CTL Earns Media Praise for Chromebooks and Company Growth
CTL has been on a roll lately and the press has noticed. Within the past few months we’ve received recognition from the Portland Business Journal, PC Magazine and ZD.net. Most recently, we were listed #13 of the Portland Business Journal’s top Metro-Area Hardware Technology Companies in the August 12, 2016 edition.
On August 16, 2016, ZD.net included the CTL NL61 Chromebook in its list of “Top Five Chromebooks for School and Everywhere Else.” ZD.net’s write up included praise from our customer, Pascal Vallet, Director of Academic Technology at the United Nations International School. “Our favorite (and students favorite) was the CTL NL6 as it is robust and has a handle to carry it,” Vallet said in the ZD.net article. Earlier this summer, CTL was The CTL J5 Chromebook recently earned high praise in a review by PCMag.com. In a July 25, 2016 PCMag.com review, this touchscreen Chromebook received an editor’s rating of Excellent, with four out of five stars. “If you need a compact Chromebook with a touch screen, the J5 should be on your list,” stated reviewer Joel Santo Domingo. Santo Domingo praised the J5 for its affordable price, rugged construction, 4GB memory and comfortable keyboard. The PCMag.com reviewer stated that one of the most impressive features of the CTL J5 Chromebook is its phenomenal 12 hour, 21 minute battery life, which is significantly longer than many competing models, according to Santo Domingo. Additionally CTL was named among the Portland Business Journal’s list of fastest growing private companies, published in the June 17, 2016 edition. This is the third time that CTL has been recognized by the Portland Business Journal as one of the fastest growing private companies in the Oregon and Southwest Washington area, based on percentage of revenue growth. This year’s list measured revenue growth between 2013 and 2015, and CTL’s revenue grew 30.7% during that time period.
Last year, CTL was recognized as one of the top 20 most innovative companies of similar size in Portland by the Portland Business Journal and received the Small Business Innovation Award at a ceremony in November, 2015. In 2014, CTL ranked #34 in top technology companies by the Portland Business Journal and by 2015 had moved up to #15.
