Receive half of the valuation of your equipment, and direct the donation of the other half. To make your gift go further, we contribute an additional 5%.
CHALLENGE
A large amount of proprietary equipment and parts comprising overstock, discontinued items,
and R&D required secure destruction in order to protect client IP and brand integrity.
SOLUTION
CTL's ITAD group processed over 220,000 lbs of materials through its dismantling and automated shredding lines, preventing any liability on behalf of the client while ensuring certified EOL (end-of-life) recycling of electronic materials. In addition, specific parts were inventoried for audit purposes.
PROBLEM
Four data center locations across the US needed to be decommissioned, including asset de-racking and removal, and onsite storage shredding for approximately 10,000 assets and over 8,000 drives.
SOLUTION
CTL's ITAD team facilitated secure NAID-AAA certified shredding of all solid state and mechanical storage onsite, including serial number capture. Assets were securely transported back to CTL's facility for audit, discovery, and factory configuration resets. In addition to fulfilling the project under timeline requirements, a revenue share of over $525,000 of value for the resalable assets was delivered back to the client. This resulted in a large net positive return for the client, along with certified data destruction and R2v3 recycling of any unsalable assets and electronic waste.
