Think that ultra-compact PCs are only suitable for home theater systems or digital signage? Think again! The Gigabyte BRIX Pro barebones kit, available through CTL®, will give you the best of both worlds. Now you can get a powerful “Haswell” desktop CPU (the Core i7-4770R) and Intel’s best Iris Pro Graphics in a petite 2.4’’ x 4.3’’ x 4.5’’package. And, the BRIX Pro has plenty of vertical space for a standard 2.5’’ hard drive or SSD with a conventional SATA connector, which makes storage cheaper.

The Gigabyte BRIX is packed with ports. It’s got two USB 3.0 ports up front with a headphone jack to one side. In the back, there is a lock slot, power jack, full-sized HDMI port, Mini DisplayPort, Ethernet and two additional USB 3.0 Ports. Inside, there are two SO-DIMM memory slots for a maximum of 16GB of RAM, plus one half-height and one full-height mSATA slot. In addition, a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card comes pre-installed in the half-height slot.

The BRIX Pro is ideal for CPU-intensive applications like image design, video editing and 3D gaming. Bundled with a VESA bracket, the BRIX Pro can easily be mounted behind a monitor or HDTV, keeping it out of view. You’ll have the flexibility to use the Gigabyte BRIX as a full featured PC or for a digital signage unit.
